Donald Trump’s Twitter Account Was Restored

Last Saturday, Elon Musk the owner of Twitter restored former US President Donald Trump account. This pivotal move could help the platform’s once loudest, bluntest force regain online attention just as a new presidential election begins.

“The people have spoken,” Musk tweeted, meaning to the results of a Twitter poll that had just completed on whether to reinstate the former president’s account.

Over 15 million Twitter users voted in the poll with 51.8% voting in favor of reinstatement of Trump’s twitter account.

But despite this, Donald Trump said he had no interest in returning to Twitter even though the majority voted in favor of reinstating the former U.S. president, who was banned from the social media service in 2021.

He said that he is now focused on his own social media, Truth Social, which is some kind of a clone of Twitter.

As a reminder, Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, took control of Twitter in October in a $44 billion deal.
