A recent poll is stirring up the political landscape, particularly for Democrats gearing up for the 2024 presidential race.
Recent surveys have consistently shown former President Donald Trump gaining ground against President Joe Biden.
In a recent poll by Emerson College, Trump emerges as a front-runner, not only surpassing Biden but also outpacing Vice President Kamala Harris, California Governor Gavin Newsom, and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
The poll, which surveyed 1,225 registered voters, reveals that 45 percent would support Trump in a head-to-head matchup against Biden, who garners 44 percent support.

Moreover, when including third-party candidates, Trump’s lead grows to 40 percent, with Biden at 38 percent, and independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. at seven percent. The remaining candidates, including Green Party’s Jill Stein and independent Cornel West, trail behind.
Interestingly, 45 percent of respondents believe Trump will win the next presidency, compared to 42 percent who favor Biden. Another 14 percent foresee a different victor in November.
Emerson’s polls, which focused on potential matchups between Trump and other prominent Democrats, come amidst growing concerns about Biden’s mental acuity and age. This scrutiny intensified following Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report on Biden’s handling of classified documents and his subsequent press conference, which was deemed disastrous.
The polls indicate that all other Democrats trail behind Trump, with performances even worse than Biden’s.
While Trump has not yet been officially nominated as the Republican Party’s candidate for 2024, many consider it inevitable, especially after his dominant performance in the primaries against contenders like Nikki Haley.
Speculation has been rife regarding Trump’s choice for running mate, with recent attention drawn to Vivek Ramaswamy. Ramaswamy, who dropped out of the presidential race and endorsed Trump, has been rumored to be on the VP shortlist, especially after appearing with Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump at a recent event.
Social media buzzed with speculation following a “mega MAGA” gala at Mar-a-Lago, where Ramaswamy made a notable entrance. Many believe he could be a strong vice presidential candidate.
The event, organized by The Trumpettes and featuring actor Robert Davi and Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, highlighted Trump’s popularity and the anticipation surrounding his potential VP pick.
As the country awaits Trump’s official nomination and VP announcement, other names, including Greene, House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik, and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, have also surfaced on the VP shortlist.
